As a worship leader, I get the pleasure and honor to help people experience the presence of God. Then I stay out of His way and their way.
So often people come to church or a worship concert and they hear everything is awesome. But how impactful is that message when they are still battling fear, loss, addiction or pain and suffering? The process of simply being in the same room or standing right next to someone experiencing great joy, an answered prayer or freedom can be overwhelming.
Worship is not about us as an artist, singer or performer.
Worship is about creating a worship experience where our love for God is on display and people can easily encounter the presence of the One who can heal them, forgive them, restore and redeem them.
It may not be about us, but He makes us His business. While He is at work in us, we should be in worship of Him.
